Weary of living with all the white walls, this Lyons couple asked for a whole house color transformation; warm, inviting with each space having its own identity. We created a color palette that set off their art and accessories while integrating and harmonizing the entire house.
Completed in four painting phases, we began with the living room, laying down a warm, grounding neutral, accenting the architectural feature of the fireplace. We rearranged several large art pieces to balance out the large open space.

In the final phase, we brought an earthy gold into the master bedroom. The fresh color related well to the slate fireplace detail, the wood trim, furniture, carpeting and new bedding. A soothing, soft green was applied to the adjoining master bath, which pulled out the green tones in the mosaic tile detail and lives happily with the earthy gold in the master. The ‘toidy room’ is painted a spicy cider color, a nice accent.

The white walls in the guest bedroom washed out in the sunny space.
An earthy, slate blue added richness, brought warmth and subdued the bright sunny southern exposure.
