Vista Ridge Community Center – Erie, CO

Vista Ridge Community Center, located in the Vista Ridge development in Erie, Colorado, was built in the mid 2000s. The open and spacious center, the heart of the community, houses offices, meeting spaces, a large community room, kitchen; exercise rooms, clubhouse style bathrooms with full showers, and an outdoor pool. When the busy center was showing signs of wear and needed  updating and refreshing, I was happy to be selected by the HOA board as the designer for the project.

The building style is Arts and Crafts/Colorado rustic, with its stone and wood features, vaulted ceilings and amber mica lamp fixtures.  We chose a warm, modern Sherwin Williams palette that harmonized with the natural elements, with richer colors for contrast. Tamarind’- entry and hallways;  ‘Prairie Grass’- community/dining room;  ‘Decorous Amber’ – kitchen; ‘Crewel Tan’ – bathrooms; ‘Green Sprout’ – offices; ‘Reynard’ – exercise rooms.

New carpeting was selected; tiles for the community room, broadloom for halls, offices. Custom fabric dining chairs  and new dining tables were ordered, completing the project.
Vista Ridge Community Center is rejuvenated and ready for its next chapter.
